Cooking for KidSport – A Culinary Extravaganza!

March 9th, 2018 – Culinary Institute of Canada, Charlottetown, PEI

Thanks to the popularity of the Food Network, celebrity chefs are all the rage, as is Islanders’ love of food! Combine community and corporate support, stir in an evening of fun, friends and entertainment and you have a new recipe for success in support of KidSport PEI!

Cooking for KidSport: A Culinary Extravaganza! will bring together PEI’s top sports teams to show off their culinary skills to enjoy during an evening of epicurean delights…all in support of KidSport PEI!

KidSport PEI believes all Island children should have the opportunity to experience the positive benefits that sport offers. Organized sport teaches children important life skills, such as leadership, commitment, teamwork and self-confidence. KidSport PEI helps remove the financial barriers that limit some children from participating in sport in PEI.

Cooking for KidSport will be a dining experience like no other!  Guests will be treated to a spectacular 3-course dining experience at the Culinary Institute of Canada.  While the Culinary Institute students and staff are preparing and serving the meal, each celebrity team will be tasked with re-creating one of the menu selections for the evening at their own cooking station!  It promises to be a very entertaining evening!

Each celebrity team will be represented by three members of their organization who will be provided with their own cooking station to prepare and showcase their dish in hopes of persuading guests and judges to vote for their creation as the evening’s best!  Each guest will receive a ballot to vote for their favourite menu items for the evening!  The team with the most votes will be crowned the Champion for 2018!
